The range of handmade jewelry by photographers and collectors (and KAREN editors at large) Lyn & Tony came about when helping out a designer friend Konstantina Mittas direct her first fashion week show.
The creative direction gig turned into a surprise turn of events when the accessories design fell to them for her inaugural 2008 and follow up 2009 RAFW shows. David our art director saw them at work and nick named the project “Constantly knittas” as Lyn and Tony had literally started spending all their waking hours crocheting and knitting these spectacular pieces for the show.
The range was a hit and Belinda Seper’s, The Corner Store took the whole range of accessories and held an exhibition in the strand arcade created by L&T to show off the unique collection.
Using materials such as Kangaroo leather, (pictured in yellow) Silk embroidery thread and silk fabric, the range is unusual and remarkable. Even the closures in silver are a reflection of the high quality that the bespoke pieces are made to. And as they are artists there is always a great story with every piece as they make each and every piece by hand personally.
The New range now available from Colette in Paris, Poepke in Sydney, Alice Euphemia in Victoria and Dilettante in Perth. Stockist enquiries 02 9698 9907 or www.2lynandtony.com PR by Little Hero littlehero.
