Bursting with inspiration, Anna & Luke from Romance was Born, have just opened their “Pearls Dream” concept store, celebrating their current collection and its collaborators – this space encapsulates the total Romance aesthetic! Pearls Dream continues on from the “Doilies and Pearls, Oysters and Shells” SS0910 collection. It is a concept store which celebrates the collection and its collaborators.

“Doilies and Pearls, Oysters and Shells” features collaborative works by two Australian artists, Patrick Doherty and Indigenious shell worker Esme Timbery, and also jewellery by Romance Was Born’s accessories designer Paul Bonomelli.

Pearl’s Dream is Romance Was Born’s tribute to the stylish elegance of Grandmas and the olden days whilst exploring their fascination with the sea; that crystalline underwater world where mermaids are the keepers of its mysterious watery secrets. Romance Was Born open up nanna’s glory box worn by the tides of time to reveal long forgotten treasures – glorious old jewels, budgies in a cage, 4711, a fine bone china tea set with a mother-of-pearl glaze, delicately aged lace doilies and other assorted goodies from a bygone era.

Super talented and incredibly gorgeous, young artist, Kareena Zavros has a selection of fresh, new pieces showing as part of the “hip pop” exhibition @ Saatchi & Saatchi 70 George Street, The Rocks 12th – 27th November, 2009.

Kareenas’ work is delicate and strangely enchanting, delighting in “long lost moments of escape to the whimsical world of make believe”.

Embracing the pop up concept, the bar will operate for 2 weeks only, bringing us the best of the King Valley vineyards – one of Victorias’ most exciting new wine regions. Stocking labels such as Marsu Homme, Matt Weston and 2 by Lyn & Tony, the shop is a unique new addition to the Sydney fashion scene, full of artisan charm & mystery.

Just opened on Crown St, Surry Hills is the new flagship design store for Via Alley. Besides stocking some of our favourite international and local fashion labels, such as Cosmic Wonder & TrustFun, the store also has a select range of homewares, collectable toys & hard-to-find art books, zines etc. Run by the super lovely Ben Hsu & Jane Lo, Via Alley is a must visit destination for design junkies.
